Gairloch Area - Bed & Breakfast

Newton House - Ensuite B & B accommodation. Situated in Strath.

Newton House is an interesting 19th century highland home, refurbished and extended in 2004. Full of character, the property has accommodation to hotel standards, but with affordable B&B prices. With a cosy stove fire in the breakfast area and central heating throughout, this family run establishment will ensure a relaxing break in the Western Highlands.

Newton House

The accommodation is centrally located within Gairloch, and within a few minutes walk you can be looking over the sea towards Torridon and Skye, shopping in a local craft shop, or sitting down to a meal in one of several hotels and restaurants.

Gairloch itself is an ideal base for local walking, loch-side fishing, golfing and sandy beaches. Boat trips around the waters of the Minch enable visitors to experience the sights and sounds of the sea at first hand - Porpoise, Minke whale, and a wide variety of seabirds can be seen regularly on these trips.

Local attractions include an award winning Heritage Museum, and the world famous Inverewe Gardens are nearby. The natural beauty of Loch Maree and the Beinn Eighe Nature reserve are our neighbours, and a huge range of walking to suit all abilities surrounds the area. Add in some of the best sunsets money can buy, and you will never go away disappointed!

For eating and drinking, Gairloch and the surrounding area have several excellent restaurants featuring locally caught seafood, and there are several hotels within walking distance of your accommodation.

How can you get here? Travel to and from Gairloch has never been easier, with bus connections linking the area to the railway station in Achnasheen, along with the towns of Ullapool, Dingwall, Inverness, and flights into Inverness airport with car hire facilities on site.

The Dacker family look forward to welcoming you to Newton House!
