Superb views towards the Summer Isles

Set in its peaceful woodland garden, Foxglove Cottage is a traditional stone built croft house, which has been sympathetically renovated and extended. Its situation at the northern extremity of the peninsular between Loch Ewe and Gruinard Bay gives superb views of the Summer Isles and mountains to the North and East. Nearby Mellon Udrigle beach is the perfect sandy bay for swimming, boating and building sand castles.

The cottage has three bedrooms and sleeps up to 8 people. Duvets and bed linen are provided. A cot and high chair are also available. There are two bathrooms each with bath and shower plus a separate WC. The large and comfortable sitting room with multifuel stove has three windows overlooking the private and secluded garden. The kitchen and Utility room, are well equipped and have ample storage. Facilities include Refrigerator, Fridge-Freezer, Electric Cooker, Microwave Oven, Washing Machine and Tumble Dryer. The electricity is on a meter taking 50p coins. The solid fuel is included in the rent. Many of our visitors return year after year for a restful holiday in beautiful and tranquil surroundings.

Situated at Ormiscaig close to the village of Aultbea on the east side of Loch Ewe, the bungalow has panoramic views of the Torridon hills.

`Beinn Eighe` sleeps 5 people and offers the following:
Open plan kitchen, dining room and lounge. Bathroom with bath and shower. One double and one twin bedded room each with vanity basin and one single bedroom. Fenced garden and parking for two cars.
The bungalow is fully equipped with electric cooker, fridge-freezer, washing machine with tumble dryer, central heating by night storage heaters, coal effect fire, TV, video, radio/cassette and duvets on all beds.

Electricity and bed linen are included in the tariff. Cot/high chair by arrangement. Groceries may be ordered in advance. Sorry - no pets

Rose Cottage, Laide

Modern comfortable cottage 10 minutes from the beach

Rose Cottage is a real home; comfortable, modern and fully equipped. The cottage sleeps 4 in one double and one twin room.

In a beautiful and tranquil setting, 10 minutes walk from the local beach, it is a good area for walkers of all abilities. There is a well-stocked shop at Laide, which is also a post office and filling station.

There are excellent opportunities for loch fishing nearby, more details can be found in several local guides including Fishing in the Gairloch Area.

The hotel at Aultbea, 5 minutes drive away, has a comfortable bar and a good restaurant. Aultbea also has a general stores.

There is a small garden with table and chairs. We regret that we are unable to accommodate smokers. Pets welcome. Bookings normally Saturday to Saturday but short breaks sometimes available.

All electricity, heating, linen and towels is included in the rental price.

Julie and Julian are pleased to announce that ‘The Bungalow’ at the Old Smiddy is now available as a self-catering holiday property.

Totally renovated and refurbished to the same high standard as the Old Smiddy Guest House this light and airy, modern bungalow enjoys stunning views of both Gruinard Bay to the north and towards An Teallach to the east.

The accommodation can sleep up to 6 people in its three bedrooms. The master bedroom, with en-suite shower room, has a kingsize bed and a lovely view towards Gruinard Bay. The second bedroom has a standard double bed. The third bedroom can be made up as a spacious single, a twin, or a 6 foot double bedded room.

The good-sized and comfortably furnished lounge/dining room has spectacular dual aspect views, free satellite TV and a cosy pebble effect gas fire.

The large kitchen looks out across Laide Wood and is fully equipped with gas hob, full-sized electric oven, combination microwave/grill/oven, slow cooker, large fridge/freezer, washing machine, dishwasher and a variety of electrical appliances. The main bathrooms enjoys the advantage of a shower bath.

There is LPG central heating throughout the bungalow and such items as a hairdryer, steam iron, ironing board and vacuum cleaner are provided for guests’ use.All bed linen and towels are provided.
