Gairloch and District Show

After many years without a local horticultural and craft show GALE resurrected the annual Gairloch and District Show in 2004 with great success.  The aim of the show is to encourage local people to grow their own fruit, vegetables and cut flowers, to learn new arts and crafts and to continue the tradition of home baking.  Each year over 400 entries are received with around 500 people coming to the show to view the exhibits.  It has now become a great social gathering for the local community as well as a tourist attraction.  At the end of the show each year all the exhibits are put on sale which gives local people a great opportunity to buy fresh local produce and baking of exceptional quality.

In 2009 the Gairloch and District Show will be held on Saturday 29 August in Gairloch Community Centre and will be open to the public between 2pm and 4pm.
