Highland Real Nappy Project

As part of its environmental remit GALE is keen to reduce the amount of waste generated in our area.  In response to a request from a local mother concerned about the number of disposable nappies filling her bin each week GALE got actively involved in the Highland Real Nappy Project.  The project aims to reduce the volume of waste generated from disposable nappies by encouraging parents to give reusable nappies a try.  The project provides parents with information on a wide range of reusable nappies, helps identify suppliers of reusable nappies and related products and offers the opportunity to try a wide range of reusable nappies through lending kits and starter packs.
